This has a fine rose gold (rose gold is often
called pink gold, not very masculine is it? I
have always preferred the rose gold tag which
is much more descriptive) case and is in excellent
condition (at least 87%, extra fine) and has the
Seamaster logo on the back. The black dial is
in excellent condition and I don’t think
it has been repainted (though I stand to be corrected
on this). There is a tiny bit of brassing (always
seems to be a problem with rose gold, don't know
why) on one side but this is only to be expected
and isn't noticable.
The watch says Seamaster. the Seamaster was originally developed for yachtsmen and the number beside the word refers to the depth in metres that it is supposed to be waterproof too, although, as I have said elsewhere, vintage watches cannot be guaranteed to be waterproof. In any. Some even had clip-on backs though this one is a screw back. I just don’t understand how a clip-on back could be called waterproof!!
This watch is in all around very fine condition
and would grace any collection or wrist.
