Seamasters are always much sought-after. I spent more on servicing this watch than it cost, not exactly good business sense but the purpose of a watch is to be a reliable time-keeper. There’s no point at all in having any watch that doesn’t do at least that. As a result of the extensive work it will be supplied with a 12 month guarantee.
The watch says Seamaster. the Seamaster was originally developed for yachtsmen and the number beside the word refers to the depth in metres that it is supposed to be waterproof too, although, as I have said elsewhere, vintage watches cannot be guaranteed to be waterproof. In any. Some even had clip-on backs though this one is a screw back. I just don’t understand how a clip-on back could be called waterproof! This one has a clip-on back and not all early Seamasters have the Seamonster logo. It’s 34mm excl. crown so it’s a fairly standard size.
A good looking Seamaster that will give years of accurate use. |
